The Ice Screamers

Preserving Ice Cream History and Soda Fountain Memorabilia

Members of the Ice Screamers enjoy researching ice cream history, and collecting ice cream parlor and soda fountain memorabilia. The variety of collectibles is amazing: from scoops to freezers, glassware to moulds, ice cream cartons to penny licks, and much more. In fact, collectors tell us that any item with an ice cream or soda fountain - related theme is collectible!

Since its founding in 1982, The Ice Screamers has grown to 450+ families in the United States and several countries around the world. Our membership includes recognized experts in ice cream history and its collectibles, career professionals who supply the industry's products and services, current and former owners of vintage ice cream parlors and soda fountains, descendants of ice cream business founders, and people who just enjoy ice cream!

We publish a quarterly newsletter filled with interesting articles about ice cream and soda fountain history, including vintage ads and photos of  memorabilia.  Members discover new information about their collectibles in every issue, and find people who share common interests. We also sponsor an annual convention held in mid-summer.

Our greatest asset is our members, particularly those who support our all-volunteer board in promoting interest and sharing their knowledge.  Our organization expenses are paid for through member dues and Ice Screamer merchandise sales.
